In many films the cavalry rides to the rescue at the end. Think of Reynolds in Gettysburg, Gandalf in LOTR, the British in Gunga Din. Now the long awaited John Durham finally entered the picture over the weekend to bring justice to the real insurrectionists.

The facts, long known by Trump and others, are these: The Hillary Clinton campaign, and no doubt the top gorgon herself, lied to the American people in an elaborate misinformation operation intended to change the result of an American presidential election. Now, she will pay.

FNC: “Lawyers for the Clinton campaign paid a technology company to “infiltrate” servers belonging to Trump Tower, and later the White House, in order to establish an “inference” and “narrative” to bring to government agencies linking Donald Trump to Russia, a filing from Special Counsel John Durham says.

Durham filed a motion on Feb. 11 focused on potential conflicts of interest related to the representation of former Clinton campaign lawyer Michael Sussmann, who has been charged with making a false statement to a federal agent. Sussmann has pleaded not guilty.

Durham’s filing on Feb. 11, in a section titled “Factual Background,” reveals that Sussmann “had assembled and conveyed the allegations to the FBI on behalf of at least two specific clients, including a technology executive (Tech Executive 1) at a U.S.-based internet company (Internet Company 1) and the Clinton campaign.’ ” They are lighting up the cigars at Mar-a-Lago today.

The fallout is already tremendous. DC Democrats who Friday were defending her have now gone to ground and refuse comment. Same with liberal DC press. Hillary is stonewalling and hilariously trying the same tactic that got her in trouble in the first place, i.e.- trying to pin the crime on Trump.

But now, nobody is buying it. Not her fellow Democrats, not her news buddies, and especially not John Durham. One even wonders if Bill will pull a U-Haul up to the doors of the Chappaqua compound anytime soon.

Hillary was floating a 2024 trial balloon. That’s over. She’s lucky if she stays out of jail. And thus the Republic is spared her noxious influence and revolting presence ever again in the halls of power. It’s a good day.
