Ted Cruz recently took some jabs at the Biden administration, likening the White House’s talking points sounding as though they’re being written by teenagers enrolled in college freshman socialism classes when discussing the rising gas prices.

“Their latest talking point is there’s all these wonderful permits that just the oil companies, for whatever reason, don’t want to drill upon. Now I understand that the White House’s talking points are written by an 18-year-old intern who’s taking freshman socialism – but it would be good to have someone who has actually worked in the private sector and has some awareness of how energy is produced.

“Energy producers will drill for oil and gas wherever it is profitable, wherever it is viable. Many of those permits are not being drilled because if you’ve got a natural gas well that you’re trying to drill you have to have a pipeline to carry the gas from the well to its end-users. And the Biden administration is also freezing pipelines. You’ve got to have an environment where those resources can be profitably developed.”

North Dakota Senator John Hoeven joined Cruz’s energy lecture to the ignorant liberal reporter. Hoeven explained how the Biden Administration’s new restrictive regulations has made it impossible to build new pipelines, forcing drillers to “flare” their natural gas into the atmosphere (instead of using it productively).

The North Dakota Senator rhetorically asked why Biden won’t unleash American ingenuity, produce and promote American oil and natural gas, but instead try to negotiate the purchase of oil from Venezuela and Iran. “It’s unbelievable!” the Senator exclaimed.
