Fox News hosts Julie Banderas and Tomi Lahren criticized Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s response to a question about Taiwan, arguing that her answer lacked clarity and depth on a major foreign policy issue.
The exchange began with a reporter asking Ocasio-Cortez about the possibility of U.S. military involvement if China were to take action against Taiwan.
“Would and should the US actually commit US troops to defend Taiwan if China were to move,” the reporter asked.

Ocasio-Cortez responded by referencing longstanding U.S. policy and expressing a desire to avoid escalation.
“You know, I think that this is such a, you know, I think that this is a, this is, of course, a very long standing policy of the United States. And I think what we are hoping for is that we want to make sure that we never get to that point,” AOC said.
During the Fox News segment, Banderas reacted strongly to the clip.
“When it came time to clearly articulate her stance on a critical foreign policy issue, she came across as less than presidential, even less presidential than Kamala Harris,” Banderas said.

After the video aired, she added, “Oh, my God, that made me cringe so badly. Do you remember that beauty pageant where the girl was asked a question?”
Lahren responded, “About the maps?”
Banderas replied, “Yes.”
Lahren added, “Americans don’t have maps.”

Banderas laughed and continued, “BAHAHAHAHAAAH so awesome. Anyway. That reminded me of a beauty pageant answer.”
Lahren then offered a sharper critique.
“That girl was much smarter than AOC,” Lahren said.
“Yes she was,” Banderas responded.
Lahren continued her assessment of Ocasio-Cortez’s performance and political background.
“We’re finding someone almost as dumb as Kamala Harris. And yes, I mean that. Again, this is what happens when you have people like AOC who have never been challenged or never really debated. They’re in a deep blue district that they’re going to win, right? And they’re not challenged on their ideas, even by other Democrats. And then you put them on the world stage, and they sound like that. There is absolutely zero depth there. It is so easy to go on Tiktok and say free things for everybody, and free Palestine, and have to show and prove no depth whatsoever. AOC made a huge mistake putting herself in that position, because now you see just how shallow that pond is, and it’s almost as shallow as Kamalas,” Lahren said.
Banderas agreed with Lahren’s characterization, concluding, “Yeah. No, it absolutely is.”

I have always wondered why anyone would ever take the time to listen to people like AOC, Harris, and others of their ilk.
They have never had anything to say that made any sense. They constantly yell about what they are against, but never have anything to say on how to fix whatever problem it is that they are against.
When they actually TRY to say something on the subject about a repair of a problem, they talk in circles and say nothing that makes any logical sense.
