Several of the most recognizable wives and girlfriends of NFL stars are front and center in the newly released February 2026 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit digital issue, a cover reveal timed ahead of Super Bowl 2026 between the Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots, as reported by The New York Post.

Sports Illustrated Swimsuit unveiled its digital cover Thursday, featuring Brittany Mahomes, Normani, Haley Cavinder, Ronika Love, Claire Kittle, and Christen Goff.

The group modeled black swimsuits for the cover, while also posing individually at the South Seas resort in Fort Myers, Florida, in a shoot photographed by Katherine Goguen.

“We drafted our ‘SI Swimsuit Digital Cover Stars’ and the results are in,” SI Swimsuit wrote in a post announcing the cover, alongside a video of the women introducing themselves.

“Brittany Mahomes, mom of three,” said Mahomes, the wife of Patrick Mahomes, noting her background as a former professional soccer player and current certified personal trainer.

“Normani, 10 times platinum, no school needed,” said the singer, who is engaged to DK Metcalf.

“Haley Cavinder, straight from the U,” said Cavinder, a former Miami Hurricanes guard who is set to marry Jake Ferguson this summer.

“Claire Kittle, fifth-year senior, Tight End University,” said Kittle, the wife of George Kittle, referencing the tight end training program he co-founded in 2021 with Travis Kelce and Greg Olsen.

“Ronika Love, certified lover girl University,” said Love, who is married to Jordan Love.

Goff is appearing in her seventh SI Swimsuit shoot, while this marks Mahomes’ second appearance after being named a rookie in 2024.

Cavinder also previously walked the SI Swimsuit runway at Miami Swim Week in 2024 with her twin sister, Hanna Cavinder.

Beyond the photos, the women used the opportunity to discuss the meaning of “WAG,” a term commonly used for the wives and girlfriends of professional athletes. Several said the label deserves a broader definition.

“I think being the significant other to an NFL player is an incredibly hard role, and we take on a lot of important stuff behind the scenes that people don’t get to see,” Mahomes said.

“But we also get to enjoy life and do things that we love, too.”

Goff said, “I feel like [the word] WAG has gotten such a bad rap over the years. I think there are so many women who are kind of changing that word and doing great things in their communities and their own brands.”

Love, a three-year professional volleyball player with the San Diego Mojo, said being labeled a WAG early on was difficult.

“It was hard for me to never be referred to as an athlete myself,” she said, later adding that appearing in the shoot while pregnant made the moment even more meaningful.

Cavinder said her post-basketball focus has been on building her brand. “You can support someone and be their number one fan, but also stay true to yourself and chase your dreams,” she said.

Kittle also noted the personal significance of the cover, recalling that her husband appeared on a Sports Illustrated football cover during his college days at Iowa. “Now, I get to have one, too,” she said.
