The footage, which spread rapidly online, showed the risky behavior taking place in traffic during spring break activity in the coastal area.

According to police, the situation escalated when the driver of the Jeep, identified as Riley Rhoades, collided with a Tesla during what investigators described as a chaotic sequence of events.

Brown was thrown from the vehicle upon impact, suffering severe injuries.

Witnesses at the scene captured additional video showing first responders providing aid to Brown in the middle of the highway following the crash.

The footage also showed the driver and other passengers, dressed in swimsuits, standing nearby as emergency crews worked.

Law enforcement officials said the driver was arrested at the scene and charged with driving while intoxicated after failing a breathalyzer test.

Authorities have not released further details about potential additional charges or the ongoing investigation.

The crash occurred during peak spring break season in Port Aransas, a popular destination along the Texas Gulf Coast known for drawing large crowds of young people each year.

Local officials have repeatedly warned about the dangers of reckless driving and alcohol use during the busy period.

Brown’s death came several days after the crash, following what officials described as a catastrophic head injury sustained when he was ejected from the vehicle.

Emergency responders had transported him for medical care immediately after the incident, but he later succumbed to his injuries.

Police have not released further information about the other individuals involved or the full sequence of events leading up to the collision. The case remains under investigation as authorities review evidence and witness accounts.

The incident has drawn attention due to the viral nature of the video captured before the crash and the circumstances surrounding the fatal outcome.

Officials continue to stress the risks associated with unsafe behavior on roadways, particularly during high-traffic events such as spring break.
