Florida lawmaker Randy Fine sharply criticized New York City Mayor Mamdani during a Newsmax interview, accusing the mayor of focusing on the feelings of a protester rather than condemning what he described as ISIS-inspired terrorism.

The exchange began when the Newsmax host reacted to remarks attributed to the mayor regarding a protest incident.

“I can barely listen to this man, the mayor Mamdani,” the host said.

“The headline of the day was that a peaceful protestor excising his first amendment rights hurt his feelings, as opposed to blaming ISIS inspired terrorists for tossing bombs into a crown. I don't even know what to even say anymore. Do you have words to respond to this, sir?”

Fine responded by calling for the mayor to be removed from the country, accusing him of sympathizing with extremists and criticizing his response to the incident.

“Well, I have one word, it's deport,” Fine said.

“I mean, the fact of the matter is, Mamdani hates America, hates the Judeo Christian civilization that we have here.”

Fine said the debate over the protest was misplaced and argued that the focus should be on the individuals accused of committing acts of violence.

“You know, we're allowed to protest whatever we want. We hear this all the time from the left when they were doing all this ridiculous stuff on our college campuses, people like this jerk Mayor talked about how they had a First Amendment right to say whatever they want. That's not the issue,” Fine said.

He continued by describing what he said was the central concern in the situation.

“The issue is two Muslim terrorists who were inspired by ISIS, who traveled to the Middle East, threw bombs at people. That is the issue. You're allowed to say whatever you want. In this country, you're not allowed to throw bombs.”

Fine then accused the mayor of defending extremists and reiterated his call for deportation.

“Mamdani is covering for the Muslim terrorists that he supports, whether it's in the Middle East or whether it's in America, he should be stripped of his citizenship and he should be deported,” Fine said.

The Newsmax host also raised questions about the mayor’s family, referring to activity on social media involving Mamdani’s wife.

“Yeah, a nd I would like to also mention, you know, his wife liking dozens of posts celebrating what happened on October 7. These people, they are who they are. They've never hidden it. But go ahead, sir,” the host said.

Fine responded by suggesting the issue had been publicly discussed before and questioned the mayor’s response.

“Well, they rub it in your face. I mean, he wanted to say his wife's a private person. She's irrelevant, but then he had to bring her up,” Fine said.

Fine also accused the mayor of dishonesty and criticized what he described as ideological motivations behind the mayor’s actions.

“I would note in that little statement that you played they're laughing us is part of the core tenant of their faith, the idea of Taqiyya, the idea of lying and being manipulative to push the faith on us,” Fine said.

Fine concluded by repeating his criticism of the mayor and arguing that Mamdani should not hold public office.

“Mamdani is a bad person. He is an evil person, and he is not someone who should be a citizen of the United States, let alone the mayor of New York,” Fine said.

The host closed the segment by referencing the city’s voters.

“Mayor of New York City, everyone apparently forgot 911 who voted for him,” the host said.
