Mike Davis, president of the Article Three Project, discussed what he described as a long-running controversy surrounding federal investigations into President Donald Trump during an exchange with Fox News host Laura Ingraham.

Ingraham opened the discussion by referencing the timeline of the issue, saying, “Mike, I bet your response is going to be what took so long.”

Her comment framed the conversation around the length of time the matter has been under public discussion.

Davis responded by pointing to the duration of the issue and his previous appearances discussing it.

He said, “Well, we’ve been talking about this on your show many times, Laura, for over three and a half years since the Mar-a-Lago raid.”

He indicated that, in his view, the events connected to the raid have been part of a broader series of developments spanning multiple years.

He described what he believes was the initial phase of the situation, stating, “It’s very clear that these lawfare Democrats politicized and weaponized our law enforcement and Intel agencies to take out presidential candidate Donald Trump with Crossfire Hurricane.”

Davis referred to the Crossfire Hurricane investigation as part of what he characterized as an effort targeting Trump during his presidential campaign.

According to Davis, those efforts did not achieve their intended outcome.

He said, “When they failed to do that, they tried to sabotage his presidency.”

He framed subsequent developments as a continuation of earlier actions, describing what he sees as an ongoing pattern involving federal institutions and political figures.

Davis also made claims regarding the 2020 election, stating, “They rigged and stole the 2020 election.”

He connected this assertion to his broader argument about the sequence of events he outlined during the discussion.

He then referenced actions taken by Trump at the end of his presidency, stating, “And when he declassified Crossfire Hurricane before he left office and took his copy of his presidential records.”

Davis suggested this step led to further developments involving federal authorities.

He described the Mar-a-Lago search as part of what he believes was an effort related to those earlier actions, stating, “They did the Mar-a-Lago raid to cover up this conspiracy.”

His remarks tied the raid to what he characterized as a wider set of actions connected to federal investigations and document handling.

Davis concluded by describing what he believes could be the significance of the situation if his claims are proven.

He said, “If this conspiracy ends up being true, which I suspect it will, this is the greatest scandal in America.”
