White House Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy Stephen Miller said President Donald Trump’s decision to implement a naval blockade on Iran represents a major shift in global power dynamics, as tensions continue in the Middle East following the breakdown of negotiations.

Miller said critics of the administration’s approach have underestimated the broader strategy behind the move.

“Never listen to a Panican, Jesse,” Miller said. “You will do very well in life.”

He argued that warnings of negative consequences have repeatedly been proven wrong.

“Ignore the pannikins, right?” Miller said. “They were the ones who warned of calamity in Venezuela and ended up being one of the greatest single foreign policy, military geopolitical maneuvers in world history.”

Miller said the current situation with Iran reflects a similar approach, describing the blockade as part of a long-term shift in American influence.

“What you're watching now in Iran with the implementation of this blockade is the total resetting of the American power dynamic for the next 100 years,” he said.

He emphasized the role of military strength, particularly naval power, in shaping international outcomes.

“President Trump is saying, We, the United States, have the world's not just most powerful military, most powerful navy,” Miller said.

He said control of maritime routes plays a decisive role in foreign policy.

“And whoever controls the Seas is able to control the outcomes in any foreign policy showdown,” he said.

Miller said the blockade has placed Iran in a position where its options are limited.

“And so President Trump has put Iran in a box,” he said. “He's played the Checkmate move.”

According to Miller, the current strategy ensures that the United States benefits regardless of how Iran responds.

“And so now no matter what path Iran chooses, America wins,” he said.

He outlined two possible scenarios, beginning with the possibility of negotiations.

“If Iran chooses the path of a deal, then that's great for the world,” Miller said. “That's great for everybody.”

He said the alternative would involve continued economic pressure through the blockade.

“If Iran chooses the path of economic strangulation by blockade, then the world will pass Iran by,” he said.

Miller added that such a shift would lead to changes in global energy systems and supply chains.

“New energy routes will be established,” he said. “New supply chains will be established.”

He said those changes would benefit the United States and other countries.

“Other nations throughout the region, throughout the world, and especially America, will power the world,” Miller said.

He said Iran would be left behind under that scenario.

“And Iran will become a footnote,” he said.

Miller said the situation presents a clear choice for Iran moving forward.

“So that's the choice Iran has,” he said.

He concluded by describing the position of the United States under the current policy.

“And President Trump has put America into a win win posture,” Miller said.
