President Donald Trump, Giuliani’s close friend and political ally, weighed in on Truth Social with characteristic candor.

“Our fabulous Rudy Giuliani, a True Warrior, and the Best Mayor in the History of New York City, BY FAR, has been hospitalized, and is in critical condition,” Trump wrote. The president did not hold back on his frustration with how the left and mainstream media have vilified Giuliani over the years.

“What a tragedy that he was treated so badly by the Radical Left Lunatics, Democrats ALL — AND HE WAS RIGHT ABOUT EVERYTHING!” Trump declared, adding his belief that Giuliani was targeted for exposing the corruption surrounding the 2020 election.

Trump’s passionate defense struck a chord with many conservatives who view Giuliani not just as a former mayor but as a symbol of resilience and principled leadership.

Current New York City Mayor Eric Adams, through his spokesperson Todd Shapiro, offered a rare moment of bipartisan respect.

“On behalf of Eric Adams, we are wishing strength, good health, and a full recovery to Rudy Giuliani—a man who devoted his life to public service,” Shapiro said.

According to authorities, Giuliani stopped to offer assistance and called 911 before being struck from behind while traveling home later that night.

He suffered a fractured thoracic vertebrae, cuts, and bruises, but made what his spokesman at the time called a “tremendous recovery.”

Michael Ragusa, Giuliani’s spokesman and head of security, assured the public in that earlier incident that it was “not a targeted attack.”

Giuliani, even while injured, reportedly kept his trademark humor and determination intact during recovery.

Ragusa added, “We ask everyone to respect Mayor Giuliani’s privacy and recovery, and refrain from spreading unfounded conspiracy theories.”
