According to police, the collision involved a motorcycle and another vehicle.

The rider sustained serious, though not life-threatening, injuries and was transported to the hospital for treatment.

The driver of the vehicle, however, escaped unharmed.

Officers at the scene worked quickly to secure the area, closing Scott Road between 72nd and 70th avenues while firefighters and paramedics tended to the injured rider and cleared shattered glass and twisted metal from the pavement.
