Collin Gosselin is stirring speculation after sharing a post that many believe takes aim at his estranged mother, Kate Gosselin, just weeks before his memoir is set to be released, as reported by Fox News.
The 22-year-old posted a screenshot of a New York Post headline about Kate on his Instagram Stories that read, "Kate Gosselin 'spiraling' ahead of estranged son Collin's bombshell memoir: 'She knows it's about to hit the fan.'"
In the post, Collin blurred out his mother’s face but included a comment from a follower stating, "What's done in darkness will always come to light," according to People magazine.

Kate, now 51, is reportedly upset and anxious over what may be revealed in her son’s forthcoming memoir titled "In the Shadow of Eight: Surviving the Reality of My Childhood."

A source told the Daily Mail that Kate had “no idea this book was in the works” and claimed that Collin has not spoken to her since she allegedly “abandoned him in an institution as a young child.”
The insider added that the former reality star “didn’t expect any of this to ever come out” and is “spiraling because she knows it’s about to hit the fan.”
Collin’s memoir is expected to shed light on his childhood, much of which played out on national television as part of TLC’s hit reality series "Jon & Kate Plus 8."

The show—which followed Jon and Kate Gosselin raising their eight children, including sextuplets—aired from 2007 to 2009. After the couple’s divorce, it was rebranded as "Kate Plus 8," which continued until 2017.
During the series, Kate revealed that Collin had been sent to Fairmount Behavioral Health System, a psychiatric facility in Philadelphia, after being diagnosed with a behavioral disorder when he was 12.
She said she was unable to meet his needs at home “with my own resources.”

Jon Gosselin, who did not have custody at the time, later claimed he was unaware that Collin had been sent away until one day when he noticed his son was missing at lunch.
Kate maintained that she was under no obligation to inform him due to court restrictions.
Sources have indicated that Kate is denying the accuracy of her son’s claims, allegedly telling others there are “zero facts” behind them. However, another source suggested that Collin “has the evidence to back everything up.”
Reports also claim that Collin’s siblings—including sextuplets Aaden, Alexis, Hannah, Joel, and Leah, and twin sisters Cara and Madelyn—were caught off guard by news of the memoir’s release and “don’t really know the truth of what happened to him” beyond what their mother shared.

Fox News Digital stated that Kate’s representatives have not responded to requests for comment.
Earlier this month, Collin announced that his book is scheduled for release in October and revealed its cover image, which shows a childhood photo of him with his mother’s hand covering his mouth.
“For a long time, I wasn’t sure I’d ever tell this story,” he wrote. “Growing up, millions of people watched my life on television. People felt like they knew me. They knew my family. They watched me grow up. But there was so much they never saw.”
He added that he kept many of his experiences private out of fear, disbelief from others, and personal unpreparedness, saying that “writing this book forced me to revisit some of the hardest moments of my life, but it also gave me something I’ve been searching for for a long time: my voice.”
Collin ended his statement by declaring, “This isn’t the story people think they know. It’s the story I’ve lived.”
