Nicki Minaj is calling on young Americans to make themselves heard in the 2026 midterm elections, urging them to “vote red” while reaffirming her support for President Donald Trump.

The rapper delivered her message during a Saturday interview on “My View with Lara Trump.”

The Grammy nominated hip hop star focused much of her appeal on younger voters as Americans prepare to head to the polls Nov. 3.

She argued that they should not dismiss their political influence or assume their participation will make little difference.

“Now is not the time to think that your voice will not be heard,” Minaj said.

“Your voice will not only be heard, but your voice is very necessary right now for the country and for the world.”

Minaj continued by telling young people that greater involvement was urgently needed.

She emphasized that they would ultimately experience the consequences of voting decisions being made now.

“We need you guys involved. We need you guys involved more than ever before,” she said.

“This is your country, this is your world. You are the ones that have to reap the benefits of whatever vote decisions we make now.”

Her message extended beyond presidential politics.

Minaj encouraged young voters to become active within their communities and participate in local elections, presenting voting as the practical route to gaining a voice in what happens around them.

“Think about how much you want a say in what happens and realize that the only way to have that is by voting, not just voting for the president, but just voting in all of the local elections,” she said.

Minaj then urged those voters to support Republican candidates in November.

The political appeal arrives as Minaj has become increasingly vocal about her support for Trump.

The singer behind “Super Bass” and “Starships” recently partnered with the Trump administration through the Small Business Administration’s Million Dollar Pitch Competition, where she served as one of the celebrity judges.

Minaj also appeared with Trump at the Trump Accounts Summit in Washington, D.C., on Jan. 28, 2026.

Trump has publicly praised the rapper, calling her a “fantastic person.”

During the interview with Lara Trump, Minaj described the president as “a very authentic person.”

She said his willingness to speak without appearing scripted was one of the qualities that appealed to her.

“He brings this candid, unedited vibe to the White House that we've never before seen,” Minaj said.

“And it's refreshing because for a very long time, people started feeling like we don't know who we can trust.”

Minaj said Trump’s tendency to depart from a script creates a different kind of reaction.

“When you see someone that goes off script, it's like you come alive again, you feel alive,” she continued.

The rapper also made clear that she did not intend to retreat from defending the president.

“I've made it my mission to be someone that supports him,” Minaj said.

Lara Trump noted that Minaj works in an industry where the president is frequently criticized.

She then asked what had shaped Minaj’s political outlook and what the performer had observed from Democrats that discouraged her.

“I think the Democrats have gotten way too caught up in pop culture, for lack of a better term,” Minaj said.

“I think that they've allowed their relationships with artists to cause them to act like children and to be so petty and childish.”

Minaj also looked back on arriving in the United States and building her music career from very little.

She said her supporters had watched the difficult stages of that journey unfold rather than seeing only the success that followed.

“My fan base, they got to see me come from absolutely nothing. They really saw the struggle in real time,” she said.

Minaj connected that experience directly to her feelings about the United States.

“Overall, yes, it has been the American dream,” Minaj added.

“That's why I love this country.”
