Denise Richards has made a painful new allegation about her marriage to estranged husband Aaron Phypers, claiming she unknowingly covered the salary and severance of a woman with whom he was allegedly having an affair, as reported by Fox News.

The former “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star discussed the financial toll of the marriage during the Oct. 13 episode of “The Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg Show.”

Richards said the woman worked for Phypers while the alleged affair was taking place.

“A woman he was having an affair with at his work, an employee. I paid her payroll, her severance,” Richards said during the episode.

“I don't know how she looked me in the face.”

Richards said she did not discover the alleged relationship until after she and Phypers separated. She also claimed she learned about “multiple” other affairs following the separation.

The allegations arrive amid a bitter divorce and legal fight that has continued for over a year. Representatives for Richards and Phypers did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment regarding her latest claims.

The dispute has also involved serious accusations of physical and emotional abuse. Nearly a year before the latest allegations, Richards was granted a restraining order against Phypers following a contentious court battle.

The permanent restraining order was granted on Nov. 7, 2025, after Richards accused Phypers of abuse. It is scheduled to remain in effect until Nov. 7, 2030.

Phypers was arrested in court in October 2025 on spousal abuse charges, according to documents obtained by Fox News Digital. Those charges stemmed from two separate incidents in 2017 and 2022.

During court testimony, Richards accused Phypers of trying to destroy her reputation as their relationship unraveled. She also alleged that he stole her laptop and later leaked nude photographs of the “Drop Dead Gorgeous” actress.

Richards told the judge that the alleged release of the photographs had been especially difficult for her children. She shares two daughters with former husband Charlie Sheen and one daughter with Phypers.

“It’s been difficult for my daughters, especially with the naked photos,” Richards told the judge during the proceedings. “I'm so embarrassed and shameful as a mom. [My daughter] couldn't go to church.”

Phypers denied Richards’ allegations in a statement to People. Richards, meanwhile, used the same proceedings to describe several alleged episodes of physical and emotional abuse that she said left her fearing for her life.

In documents filed July 16, Richards detailed a series of violent allegations against Phypers. Her account included claims involving choking, slapping, threats, and unauthorized access to her electronic devices.

“Throughout our relationship, Aaron would frequently violently choke me, violently squeeze my head with both hands, tightly squeeze my arms, violently slap me in my face and head, aggressively slam my head into the bathroom towel rack, threaten to kill me, hold me down with his knee on my back to the point where I would have to plead with him to get off me so that he would not kill me and hack into my laptop and phone and download all of my text messages."

Richards also alleged that Phypers repeatedly threatened to injure her before pleading with her to remain in the relationship. She claimed those promises included getting help, though she said that never happened.

“Aaron regularly threatened to ‘break my jaw’ and would cry, beg me to stay, and promise to get help — none of which ever happened. Aaron has caused me at least three concussions.”

Her latest account adds alleged financial betrayal and infidelity to the accusations already surrounding the estranged couple’s legal battle. Richards maintains that she paid the employee’s payroll and severance without knowing about the alleged affair.
