  • Kendall Jenner denied being a lesbian and rejected rumors that she previously dated Cara Delevingne.
  • Jenner described Delevingne as her sister and said the models have been friends for 11 or 12 years.
  • Despite her denial, Jenner said she would not oppose having fun with a girl and added, “Never say never, right?”
  • Her comments came amid her budding romance with Euphoria star Jacob Elordi, whom she was publicly linked to in April.

Kendall Jenner has addressed years of speculation about her sexuality, firmly denying that she is a lesbian while leaving the door open to unexpected experiences. The 30-year-old model discussed the persistent rumors during Thursday’s episode of The Kardashians, as reported by The Daily Mail.

Jenner focused in particular on claims that she and fellow model Cara Delevingne, 34, had been more than friends. She explained that their close relationship began when Delevingne helped her feel comfortable in the modeling industry.

“We have been friends for a long time now – going on 11 or 12 years. She brought me under her wing – in a way – and made me feel really safe and welcome in the modeling world,” Jenner said.

Jenner directly confronted the speculation surrounding their friendship. “We should address this. It’s because of our love for each other. People think I’m a lesbian to this day,” she said before declaring: “I’m not.”

Despite that unequivocal denial, Jenner added a teasing twist by saying she “wouldn’t be opposed to having some fun with a girl.” Her comments came amid her budding romance with Euphoria star Jacob Elordi, 29.

Jenner also acknowledged the specific rumor that she had previously dated Delevingne. “There’s definitely a rumor that [Delevingne] and I dated or something in the past, which is not true,” she said.

“Not that I would have anything wrong with dating Cara, but we’ve just always been best buds,” Jenner clarified. She described Delevingne as a sister and said nothing romantic had ever happened between them.

“For the record, I think being a lesbian would be fun and amazing,” Jenner continued. The catwalk star also suggested it could be easier than being straight because, in her words, “men suck.”

Jenner was equally candid when discussing whether she had ever wanted a sexual relationship with Delevingne. “By the way, I have nothing against having sex with Cara,” she stated. “I just have never had a desire to have sex with women.”

She then added: “Never say never, right?” The playful qualification echoed comments she made during a January appearance on the In Your Dreams podcast, when she told host and actor Owen Thiele that part of the internet believes she is a lesbian.

During that podcast appearance, Jenner said the speculation itself was not entirely unexpected, but she objected to the hostile tone surrounding it. She emphasized that she would not conceal her sexuality if she considered herself a lesbian.

Jenner said she understood that coming out was difficult for many people. However, she explained that, knowing herself and how she wanted to live, she believed she would already be out if she were a lesbian.

She also rejected suggestions that she was hiding her sexuality because it might be harmful to her career. Jenner concluded at the time that she was not a lesbian, did not think she would become one, but was not closing herself off to life experiences.

Her latest remarks arrived as her relationship with Elordi continues to attract attention. The pair were first publicly linked in April after they were seen kissing at the afterparty for Justin Bieber’s Coachella performance.

An insider told the Daily Mail that Jenner and Elordi had been dating as far back as early February after her younger sister Kylie set them up. Since April, they have traveled together to Hawaii, Tokyo, London, Paris and other international destinations.

Jenner accompanied Elordi to London in August for the premiere of The Dog Stars, his Ridley Scott-directed post-apocalyptic thriller. Elordi joined co-stars Josh Brolin, Margaret Qualley and Guy Pearce on the red carpet.

Before Elordi, Jenner dated Bad Bunny for around a year before their late 2023 breakup. They reunited briefly in 2024 before splitting again, while her earlier relationships included NBA stars Blake Griffin, Devin Booker and Ben Simmons.

Jenner has also spoken about prioritizing herself after spending much of her twenties in relationships. She said turning 29 inspired a personal commitment to remain open to possibilities while choosing herself and having what she called a “me year.”

Even after difficult relationships and prominent breakups, Jenner described herself as “definitely a lover.” She said she still dreams of having a beautiful family and a relationship filled with understanding and love.

The famously private model has maintained that friendships and relationships are special and sacred to her. As she previously told Vogue Australia, bringing those parts of her life into public view makes everything messier.
