Sean “Diddy” Combs was rushed from federal prison Fort Dix to a New Jersey hospital after getting into a fight with a fellow inmate, a source told Page Six. The source said Combs is doing much better now.
The hospital visit followed what TMZ described as a medical emergency. The outlet reported that the disgraced rapper was taken out of Fort Dix on Sunday and transported to a nearby medical facility.
A source previously told TMZ that Combs left the prison in an ambulance Saturday at around 1 a.m. The injury was described as not life-threatening, and the music mogul reportedly received treatment after the incident.
Combs, 56, was said to have remained conscious and able to speak following the alleged mishap. The available reports did not provide further details about his treatment at the medical facility.
#NEWS: Diddy reportedly got into a fight with fellow inmate Christopher Coke, a Jamaican drug lord known as “Dudus,” at Fort Dix federal prison, suffering a head injury so severe that he was rushed to an outside medical facility, according to TMZ.
Sources claim the altercation stemmed from anger over an NBC News report exposing Diddy’s alleged luxurious lifestyle behind bars. Following the report, prison officials reportedly conducted at least two raids and confiscated cellphones from inmates, including Coke. Coke, who has been serving a 23 year sentence since 2012, was reportedly furious over the loss of privileges following the raids. Sources claim both men were placed in solitary confinement for two weeks after the fight. Diddy was already being held in the Special Housing Unit following the NBC report, and the alleged altercation occurred during his daily break, according to the report. — WORLDSTARHIPHOP (@WORLDSTAR) October 14, 2026

A representative for the Grammy winner told Page Six, “We are aware of the reports concerning Sean Combs and are working to confirm the circumstances.”
The representative continued, “Sean’s health and well-being are our immediate concern,” before adding, “and we appreciate everyone who has reached out.”
The hospital dash unfolded during Combs’ incarceration following his conviction on two counts of transportation for prostitution. He was subsequently sentenced to 50 months in prison in July 2025 after highly publicized court proceedings.
Combs has repeatedly and vehemently denied accusations of wrongdoing. His current confinement has also generated reports about his treatment behind bars and alleged violations during his incarceration.

In September, NBC News reported that Combs was living a “pampered” life in prison. Four anonymous prisoners alleged that the “I’ll Be Missing You” performer had other people cleaning and cooking for him inside the facility.
The news outlet also reported that Combs had access to “some rich s–t,” including premium liquor, antidepressants, and a cellphone. Those reported items were presented as privileges that were far outside what one source considered ordinary prison conditions.
“This is not some normal s–t you see in jail,” the source told NBC News. “It looks crazy, but again, it’s Diddy.”
A Bureau of Prisons representative addressed the reports in a statement to Page Six at the time.
The representative explained that, because of “privacy, safety and security reasons,” the bureau refrains from commenting on inmate conditions at the federal correctional institution, which is a low-security facility.
According to TMZ, the Bad Boy Records founder was returned to solitary confinement following the reports about his life in prison. Page Six also confirmed that his prison release date was pushed back after previously being scheduled for Jan. 21, 2028.
The revised release date is March 2, 2028. The reported change came amid continued attention to Combs’ conduct and circumstances during his incarceration.
TMZ reported Tuesday that Combs had been written up several times for alleged fights and cellphone violations while behind bars. The outlet did not identify the other people allegedly involved in the reported fights.
According to TMZ, the fashion designer lost 400 days of commissary privileges, which the source article described as allowing inmates to earn snacks. He also lost 41 days of good time credit.
