Several protesters tried to interrupt President Trump’s rally in Youngstown, Ohio, on Monday, only to become the targets of the crowd’s ridicule.

One attempted disruption escalated into a brawl before police removed the agitator from the rally, as reported by The Gateway Pundit.

The crowd erupted into chants of “USA” while Trump called attention to what he described as a “paid protester.”

Video from the rally showed the protester getting pummeled during a confrontation with another supporter in the crowd.

The protester was then held down as police officers quickly moved into the area. Officers took control of the situation and began escorting the agitator out while the packed crowd continued reacting to the spectacle.

The report said Trump appeared to misgender the woman while discussing the interruption.

“He’s a paid protestor. They’re all paid. They get paid by the lefties in order to destroy our country; they’re scum,” Trump said.

Trump kept the commentary rolling as police prepared to remove the protester. “But he’s going back home to mom. He’s going back home to mom. Look at him. Look at him. Terrible. Don’t we love law enforcement ?”

As officers hauled the protester down the aisle, Trump took notice of the person’s cropped shirt and physical appearance. That opened the door for another round of unsparing remarks from the president as the crowd watched.

“Oh, he’s got to go on a diet. He’s a fat guy. Wow! Wow!” Trump commented. The protesters came looking to disrupt the rally, but Trump turned the interruption into another crowd pleasing moment at their expense.

Trump did not stop there. “Gotta go on a diet fast. We all do,” Trump said as the crowd kept chanting “USA!” while officers continued moving the protester away from the rally.

Another agitator was also removed after entering with what appeared to be some kind of flag or banner. The audience again broke into “USA” chants as police escorted the woman from the gathering.

“She was very quiet. What flag was that? Was that the Palestinian flag?” Trump said after the woman had been taken out. He then turned his attention to some of the activist slogans associated with support for Palestine.

“You know the one I like the best? I shouldn’t say this, should I? The one I like the best is Gays for Palestine. Gays for Palestine! You know what they do if you happen to be gay? They throw you off the top of a building. That’s the one I like the best: Gays for Palestine,” Trump continued.

“They bring you to the top of the tallest building they have, which isn’t too tall, by the way, doesn’t have to be, and they push you off the top of the building. And yet, I see all the time gays for Palestine. How about women for Palestine? They treat them almost as badly.”

The repeated interruptions did not silence Trump or derail the rally. Instead, police removed the protesters while the president used each episode to mock the agitators and keep the crowd engaged with chants, jokes, and political commentary.

The Youngstown event also featured an earlier disruption during a speech by Senator Jon Husted. According to the report, another woman was hauled from the rally after interrupting Husted and then began wrestling with police.

That protester also displayed her middle finger toward the crowd while officers escorted her away. Like the later agitators, her effort to seize attention ended with police removal and a loud response from Trump’s supporters.

Monday’s scene provided several examples of attempted protest interruptions rapidly backfiring inside the rally. The protesters were removed one after another as Trump and the crowd transformed the disruptions into mockery, chants of “USA,” and praise for law enforcement.
