Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) is facing criticism over a post on X that some users interpreted as referencing President Donald Trump’s execution following his recent comments about fraud in Minnesota and the Somali community, as reported by The Gateway Pundit.

On Tuesday, President Trump appeared on Fox Business for an interview with Larry Kudlow. During the discussion, the president addressed what he described as widespread fraud across the country, including activity in Minnesota.

At one point in the interview, Trump referenced Somalia and Omar while speaking about the issue.

“Somalia has come in here. What they’ve done to our country, these people, they’ve come into our country, and what they’ve done with that fake congresswoman. She’s so bad,” Trump told Kudlow.

After the interview aired, Omar responded on X with a sharply worded post.

“The leader of the Ped*phile Protection Party is trying to deflect attention from his name being all over the Epstein files,” Omar wrote.

“At least in Somalia, they execute ped*philes, not elect them,” she added.

The post quickly circulated online, with many users reacting to her comments and debating their meaning. Some individuals on the platform argued that the statement amounted to a suggestion that Trump should face execution, while others characterized it as political rhetoric.
