Newly released videos show the moments a man ambushed Bellevue police officers with a knife as they responded to a reported domestic violence call at the Bellevue Transit Center in December.
The suspect, identified as 38-year-old Mohamed Morray Bangura, is seen in the video speaking with officers before pulling a knife from his jacket pocket and charging at them.
According to police, Bangura slashed one officer across the face and then stabbed him twice in the back as the officer fell to the ground.
Another officer at the scene fired three shots at Bangura during the attack.

Bangura survived and was transported to Harborview Medical Center for treatment.
He was later released from the hospital and booked into the King County Jail with bail set at $5 million.
Prosecutors have charged Bangura with assault in the first degree and assault in the second degree.
Charging documents state that Bangura called 911 at approximately 12:30 p.m. on December 12, 2025, and reported that a man and woman were arguing at the Bellevue Transit Center, located at 10850 NE 6th Street.

Bangura did not identify himself during the call but told dispatchers the argument was “escalating” and urged them to send officers, according to a police report.
Two Bellevue police officers arrived at the transit center within six minutes.
They contacted Bangura, who was wearing a beanie and had a surgical mask resting on his chin, the report states.
According to the report, Bangura told officers that another Bellevue police officer “tried to put a false case on me.”

“Are you the one who called about the DV (domestic violence) that happened right now? Are people arguing?” one officer asks in the video.
“Yes,” Bangura responded.
“You said to dispatch you saw two people arguing, let's get to that, and then we can get to the second part,” a second officer tells him.
“That was happening over ...” Bangura replies before pausing and producing the knife from his jacket pocket, according to the video.
The officer standing directly in front of Bangura quickly moved out of the way.
The video then shows Bangura turning toward another officer and slashing him across the face.
As the injured officer fell to the ground, Bangura is seen stabbing him in the back.
Detectives recovered the weapon at the scene.
It was described as a kitchen knife with a fixed steel blade.
The arrest report includes two photographs of the knife.
“The deliberateness of this attack, having lured police officers to his location by making a bogus 911 call reporting a domestic violence incident, demonstrated the lengths (Bangura) will go to injure others and extreme danger this defendant poses to the community,” prosecutors wrote in charging documents.
Court records state that the injured officer was taken to Harborview Medical Center with a significant laceration to the face.
Investigators determined Bangura had prior contact with Bellevue police.
In September 2025, officers responded after a security guard at a church near the downtown transit center reported an argument involving Bangura, according to court records.
A Bellevue police report states Bangura threatened to kill the guard if he did not turn off his flashlight.

An officer informed Bangura he would be charged with harassment, but he was released and allowed to leave the area.
On December 11, one day before the transit center attack, Bangura called police seeking to file a complaint against an officer.
A sergeant attempted to return Bangura’s call twice but was unable to reach him, according to the report.
Court records show Bangura is currently awaiting a competency evaluation.
Both assault charges related to the December 12 attack include a deadly weapons enhancement. If convicted on both counts, the enhancement would carry a mandatory minimum sentence of three years in prison.
