Authorities have identified the semi-truck driver accused in a deadly crash in Hendricks County, Indiana, as Singh Sukhdeep, an illegal alien from India, as reported by The Gateway Pundit.

The crash occurred around noon on Wednesday in Avon, according to Fox 59. Investigators say Singh ran a red light and struck a Chevrolet pickup truck. The impact forced the Chevrolet into a Chrysler Sebring.

The driver of the Chevrolet, 64-year-old Terry Schulz, was pronounced dead at the scene.

In a separate account, a witness who was nearly struck by the semi-truck said she exited her vehicle and prayed over Mr. Schulz as he took his final breath.

Singh was taken into custody by Immigration and Customs Enforcement on Wednesday.

On Thursday, Fox News reporter Bill Melugin reported that Singh had previously been encountered at the border and was caught and released in 2018 under what Melugin described as Trump Admin 1.0, when Singh was a minor.

According to Melugin, Singh Sukhdeep received his commercial driver’s license (CDL) from the state of Indiana in May 2025.

The Indiana crash is one of several recent fatal incidents involving illegal alien semi-truck drivers from India.

In December, a semi-truck driver arrested in connection with a deadly crash in Washington state was identified as an Indian illegal alien who had been released into the United States by the Biden Administration.

In that case, 25-year-old Kamalpreet Singh killed a 29-year-old man on the morning of December 11.

Authorities said the victim’s vehicle was crushed between two trucks while Kamalpreet Singh was driving northbound on State Route 167.

He is facing a vehicular homicide charge. Reports indicate he likely obtained his CDL in California, where he resided.

In November, another illegal alien semi-truck driver who had obtained a CDL in California was involved in a fatal crash in Bend, Oregon, that left two people dead after the trailer jackknifed.

According to the Department of Homeland Security, on November 24, 2025, Rajinder Kumar, identified as a criminal illegal alien from India, jackknifed his semi-truck and trailer, blocking both lanes of U.S. Highway 20.

A Subaru Outback collided with the semi-truck, killing both the driver, William Micah Carter, andthe  passenger, Jennifer Lynn Lower.

DHS said Rajinder Kumar had been released into the interior of the United States by the Biden Administration and later obtained a CDL through California Governor Gavin Newsom’s Department of Motor Vehicles.

In October, an illegal alien semi-truck driver from India was involved in a fiery crash in Southern California that killed three people.

Last summer, another case involved an illegal alien identified as Harjinder Singh, who killed three people on a Florida highway.

Authorities said the Punjabi driver, who had obtained a CDL in California and Washington state, made an abrupt U-turn on Florida’s Turnpike near Fort Pierce in August, leading to a deadly collision.

The series of crashes has drawn renewed attention to the vetting and licensing of commercial truck drivers across multiple states, as well as federal immigration enforcement policies tied to individuals later involved in fatal roadway incidents.
