President Donald Trump took aim at Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on Thursday while speaking at his inaugural Gaza Board of Peace meeting in Washington, D.C., drawing a contrast between her recent appearance in Munich and Vice President JD Vance’s academic record, as reported by The Gateway Pundit.

The event brought together representatives from nearly 50 countries along with senior Trump Administration officials.

During the meeting, President Trump announced that the United States is pledging $10 billion to the Board of Peace. An additional $7 billion has been pledged by other member nations.

During his hour-long remarks, the President praised Vice President Vance’s academic achievements, noting that he was a “great student” who graduated from Harvard.

“If you watch some of the people that were at the event in Munich, they didn’t graduate quickly from college."

“There was one young, attractive woman, she was unable to answer questions, and she didn’t do so well like JD did in college,” he continued, referring to Ocasio-Cortez.

Video of the President’s remarks circulated online.

“He was a great student. They went to one school, he graduated. You know, most people, if you watch some of the people that were at the event in Munich, they didn’t graduate quickly from college. They had everything they could do. There was one young, attractive woman, she was unable to answer questions, and she didn’t do so well like JD did in college. JD graduated in a four and a half year college, in two years, and then he went to Yale, and he graduated at the top of his class, went to the military,” Trump said.

“But when he went to Yale, there was one person that was marginally ahead of him, so he married her. Can you believe it? He married the person that was ahead. I don’t know. I always like to say JD was first, and Usha was second because I get a little uncomfortable when I say that, but he’s been incredible. He’s a brilliant guy and a great guy, and he’s been my friend. All of our people, we have a fantastic group of people, our cabinet members, everybody, many of them here.”

The comments came days after Ocasio-Cortez appeared at the Munich Security Conference, where she was asked about whether the United States should commit troops to Taiwan to defend against China.

“Um, you know, I think that, uh, this is such a, uh, you know, I — I think that this is a, umm, this is of course a, uh, a very longstanding, um, policy of the United States – uh and I think what we are hoping for is we want to make sure that we never get to that point,” Ocasio-Cortez said in response.

The exchange drew attention online.

Earlier in the week, President Trump also commented on Ocasio-Cortez and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton following their appearances in Munich.

“They’re incompetent — at least Hillary’s competent! She’s just Trump deranged. She’s an angry woman!” Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One en route to Washington, D.C.
