Speculation surrounding Zendaya and Tom Holland’s relationship resurfaced this week after a red carpet remark from stylist Law Roach prompted a response from Zendaya’s mother, as reported by Page Six.
During an interview with Access Hollywood at the SAG Awards 2026 on Sunday, Roach was asked about Zendaya, 29, and Holland, 29, after the actress had been seen wearing a gold wedding band in recent weeks.
Roach made a statement that quickly gained attention.

On Monday, Zendaya’s mother, Claire Stoermer, shared Access Hollywood’s interview clip to her Instagram Stories, according to People. She added a brief caption referencing Roach’s reaction in the video.
“The laugh,” Stoermer wrote, appearing to point to Roach’s cackle during the exchange.
Representatives for Zendaya, Holland, and Roach did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Page Six.
Zendaya and Holland have been publicly linked since 2017. The pair, who co-starred in the “Spider-Man” franchise, have largely kept their relationship out of the spotlight. The actress has been engaged to Holland since 2024.
This is not the first time Stoermer has addressed rumors about her daughter’s personal life.

In 2022, as speculation circulated about a possible engagement between Zendaya and Holland, Stoermer posted a definition of “clickbait” to her Instagram Story.
“Clickbait typically refers to the practice of writing sensationalized or misleading headlines in order to attract clicks on a piece of content,” the post read.
“It often relies on exaggerating claims or leaving out key information in order to encourage traffic. The term is generally used in a dismissive sense.”
That same year, Zendaya addressed online rumors claiming she was pregnant.
“See now, this is why I stay off Twitter,” she wrote in July 2022. “Just making stuff up for no reason … weekly. Anyway back to filming ‘Challengers.’”
In a 2023 cover story interview with Elle, Zendaya discussed maintaining privacy in her relationship while remaining in the public eye.
“I do have control over what I choose to share,” she told the magazine. “It’s about protecting the peace. And letting things be your own, but also not being afraid to exist. You can’t hide. That’s not fun either.”
Holland also commented on the couple’s approach to public appearances in a January 2025 interview with Men’s Health, explaining why they do not frequently attend red carpet events together.
“It’s not my moment, it’s her moment, and if we go together, it’s about us,” he said.
The recent exchange at the SAG Awards has renewed interest in the couple’s status, though no official confirmation has been issued regarding a wedding.
