Comments made on ABC’s daytime talk show “The View” sparked discussion Tuesday after co-host Joy Behar predicted that President Donald Trump’s name would disappear from buildings once he leaves office, as reported by Breitbart.

The exchange occurred during a segment on the program in which the panel discussed political reactions surrounding President Trump and the current political climate.

Co-host Whoopi Goldberg opened the discussion by referencing remarks made during a recent interview and suggested there were divisions among some supporters of the president.

“You know who just said in an interview that MAGA loves what he’s doing, but it sounds like there’s a little bit of discord here. There’s a lot of angry people,” Goldberg said during the segment.

Behar responded by questioning the motivations behind Trump’s actions and expressed skepticism about his intentions.

“You know, there’s something fishy about why he did it to me. I mean, I don’t trust him anyway, and they all lie. But why is he really doing this?” Behar said.

She then referenced economic concerns that she said voters are paying attention to, including rising costs and market fluctuations.

“First of all, he knows that his administration is in trouble because people want the prices of food to go down. They want eggs to go down, they want gas to go down, and things are going up because of this gas is now at a higher point. The Dow dropped 880 points this morning. Oil prices are up 10%. So why is he doing this?” Behar continued.

Behar then speculated about what might be motivating the president’s actions and suggested the situation could serve as a distraction.

“Possibly it’s a distraction like a wag the dog situation,” she said.

During the discussion, Behar also referenced a conversation she said she had with a friend regarding the political situation and how it might affect Trump’s legacy.

“My friend said that he thinks that Netanyahu convinced him, Trump, that this would be good for his legacy,” Behar said.

She then dismissed that idea and predicted that Trump’s name would not remain prominent once he leaves office.

“What legacy? The minute he is out, every name is coming off of every building. No one’s going to ever hear from him again,” Behar added.

Trump’s name has been used on numerous properties over the decades through both ownership and licensing agreements connected to the Trump Organization.

Those properties include hotels, residential towers, and commercial buildings in cities across the United States and internationally.

Some properties have removed the Trump name in recent years due to local decisions by building owners or condominium boards, while others have retained the branding tied to the Trump Organization.

Behar’s remarks on “The View” reflect ongoing debates surrounding the president’s policies, public perception, and the broader political environment.
