Fox News host Will Cain highlighted a report indicating potential security threats linked to Iran after U.S. intelligence reportedly intercepted communications suggesting possible sleeper cell activity outside the country.

During a segment discussing the report, Cain cited information from ABC News stating that U.S. officials have detected encrypted communications believed to have originated from Iran. According to the report, those communications may represent a trigger for sleeper assets operating beyond Iran’s borders.

“Meantime, an alarming report of threats outside Iran,” Cain said.

Rubio has described ongoing U.S. operations against Iran as part of an effort to weaken a government he says has long engaged in hostage-taking and international terrorism.

“The United States is currently engaged in an operation targeting one of the world's leading hostage taker, the world's leading sponsor of terrorism,” Rubio said.

Rubio said Iran’s actions extend beyond its own borders, accusing the regime of carrying out attacks across the region.

“They are trying to hold the world hostage,” Rubio said.

“They are attacking their neighbors. They are attacking neighboring countries, their energy infrastructure, their civilian population.”

Rubio also referenced attacks against diplomatic facilities and other international targets.

“They're attacking embassies,” Rubio said.

Rubio characterized the Iranian government as a terrorist regime that uses both traditional military capabilities and unconventional weapons to carry out attacks.

“This is a terrorist government,” Rubio said.

“This is a terroristic regime, and we are seeing them conduct terrorism using nation state elements.”

Rubio said the regime has used missiles and one-way attack drones as part of those operations.

“Using weapons like missiles and one way attack drones,” Rubio said.

According to Rubio, the objective of U.S. operations is to dismantle Iran’s ability to carry out such attacks.

“And the objective of this mission is to destroy their ability to continue to do that,” Rubio said.
