Joy Reid raised questions about former Vice President Kamala Harris’ political future, suggesting she should not pursue another presidential run and arguing that policy positions tied to former President Joe Biden remain a political obstacle.
Speaking during a discussion, Reid said:
“I hope, I hope she doesn’t run again. I don’t think she should run again. Why is that she’s take a break? Yeah, I think, I think there’s some, there’s there. You know, she’s a lovely human being. I think they’re a great way she can serve. I don’t think that the United States is going to elect a woman in my lifetime.”

The remarks focused on Harris’ potential future in national politics following the 2024 election cycle.
Reid described Harris as a “lovely human being” and acknowledged that she could continue to serve in other capacities, while also expressing skepticism about her chances in a future presidential campaign.
Reid continued by addressing foreign policy issues, specifically pointing to the Biden administration’s approach to Israel and Gaza as a factor she believes could affect Harris politically.
“And also, I think that in order for her to have one last time, and I, you know, this isn’t something I wouldn’t have said to her personally, is she needed to take a giant step away from Joe Biden’s Middle East policy, his policies in vis a vis Israel and Gaza were an abomination, and it were a stain on his presidency,” Reid said.

She further stated that Harris’ association with those policies continues to draw reactions at public events.
“And her association with that is still something that causes her to get protests everywhere she goes. She has to take a giant step away from if she ran again, she would have to repudiate Biden on Israel gossip. That’s the only way she could do it. And she’s super loyal. I don’t know if she would do,” Reid added.
Joy Reid says that Kamala Harris shouldn’t run for president again because America is sexist.
Reid adds that Kamala shouldn’t have echoed Joe Biden’s support for Israel in Gaza.
Don’t listen to her, Kamala! Run!

The remarks come amid ongoing debate about the political direction of the Democratic Party following the 2024 election and as speculation continues about potential future candidates.
Harris has not publicly announced any plans regarding another presidential run. Since leaving office as vice president, she has continued to appear at public events and remain involved in political discussions, though no formal campaign activity has been confirmed.
The comments also reflect broader conversations within political circles about how candidates position themselves in relation to past administrations and major foreign policy decisions.
The Middle East, including U.S. policy toward Israel and Gaza, remains a topic of debate among political figures and voters.

The United States’ role in the region has been a focal point of both domestic and international attention, with policymakers facing scrutiny over decisions related to military support, diplomatic engagement, and humanitarian considerations.
While Reid’s remarks reflect one perspective, they highlight ongoing discussions about political strategy, party direction, and voter sentiment heading into future election cycles.
