Comedian and podcast host Adam Carolla criticized political opponents during a recent commentary, arguing that shifting attitudes toward high-profile figures reveal what he described as inconsistency among critics of President Donald Trump.

Carolla pointed to figures such as Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Elon Musk, stating that both had previously been widely supported by Democrats before their perceived alignment with President Trump.

He said, “The two biggest tells from the retards on the left is Kennedy Jr. Their two biggest hells is Kennedy Jr and Elon Musk.”

He continued, “That’s how I know you guys are lying, and you have Trump derangement syndrome, and we never have to f**king listen to you ever again, because a both guys, formerly darlings of the left and the Democrats.”

Carolla described Kennedy’s background and environmental activism, noting, “One’s a Kennedy, by the way, who made his bones suing Monsanto and all these other big chemical companies and defense contractors and Union Carbide for polluting the environment.”

He added, “So this guy, I mean, you want to talk about a guy who was built in a democratic pop a boner lab.”

He also referenced Musk’s work in electric vehicles, stating, “the other guy invents an electric car, which you love.”

Carolla said both figures had once been embraced by the political left.

“So you love Kennedy and you love Elon Musk,” he said.

According to Carolla, that support changed following their association with President Trump.

“Then Trump gets elected,” he said, adding that both individuals continued pursuing policy or business initiatives.

He described efforts he attributed to Kennedy and Musk, stating, “This guy’s going to get red dye number 17 out of Razzles,” and added, “And look into childhood. Look into what’s causing everyone to be on this, every kid to be on the spectrum of autism, and all this kind of stuff.”

Carolla also referenced Musk’s business ventures and broader goals, stating, “One goes from the smartest guy in the world to a dope who’s trying to take food out of children’s mouths or something.”

He added, “I don’t really even know what you got to with Elon.”

He criticized reactions to Musk’s companies, saying, “so you’re going to go burn some Tesla dealerships.”

Carolla also addressed criticism of Kennedy, stating, “then the other one is a madman who wants everyone to die of whooping cough because they didn’t get vaccinated.” He added, “Both huge lies.”

He argued that the change in perception was tied to their connection with President Trump.

“But because he was selected by Trump, you then have to attack both of them,” Carolla said.

Carolla said that, in his view, critics should have maintained their previous support while acknowledging political disagreements. “any sensible, normal human being that did not have Trump derangement syndrome would go, I hate Donald Trump, and I’m disappointed that my hero, Kennedy Jr, went and Elon Musk, another hero who’ve done a lot of good for our society, went to work for Trump.”

He concluded by asserting that the criticism directed at both figures reflects broader political motivations. “but they have to pillory both of them, which means they’re f**king liars.”
