Actor Alan Ritchson is at the center of a dispute following a physical altercation with a neighbor in Brentwood, Tennessee, as authorities have concluded their investigation and determined no charges will be filed, as reported by Fox News.
The incident, which took place over the weekend, drew attention after a video obtained by TMZ appeared to show the 43-year-old actor involved in a confrontation in his front yard while his children were nearby.
Conflicting accounts have emerged regarding how the situation escalated.

Ritchson, known for his role in “Reacher,” addressed the situation indirectly on social media Monday by posting a quote that read, “Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake.”

The message prompted mixed reactions online. Some users criticized the actor’s behavior, while others expressed support.
“Kind of like getting CAUGHT on camera being a bully,” one user wrote.
“Man. Shame on you. True masculinity defends the weak and serves those around us. Not what you do. I stand against bullies. Come on over. You are welcome to try and bully me.”
Another commenter added, “Bro beat a guy’s a– and aura farms afterward.”
“Disgusting,” another user wrote. “Don’t talk about Church and Jesus ever again. You should be 100% canceled.”
Other responses defended Ritchson.
“@alanritchson I know you’re way too good of a dude to do that unprovoked,” one commenter wrote. “I’m with Alan all the way on this one.”
“Need more guys like you around brother,” another user posted.
“True fans love you @alanritchson i don’t for a second believe you would have acted that way without being provoked or assaulted first,” another added.
According to the Brentwood Police Department, the investigation into the incident has been closed. Authorities reviewed video footage and witness statements before determining that no criminal charges would be pursued.
“After reviewing available evidence, including video footage and witness statements, authorities determined that no criminal charges will be pursued. Mr. Ritchson’s actions were found to be in self-defense,” Captain Steven Pepin told The Hollywood Reporter.

Police also confirmed that Ritchson declined to press charges against the other individual involved.
The neighbor, identified as Ronnie Taylor, provided his own account of what led to the confrontation. According to TMZ, Taylor said the incident began Saturday when Ritchson was riding a green Kawasaki motorbike through the neighborhood at what he described as an excessive speed.
Taylor told the outlet that Ritchson returned the following day around noon, this time accompanied by his two children, who were also riding motorbikes. Taylor said he confronted the actor, which led to the physical altercation.
Sources close to Ritchson disputed that version of events. According to those sources, Taylor ran into the street in what was described as a “really aggressive” manner in an attempt to stop the actor while he was riding.
Those sources further alleged that Taylor pushed Ritchson off his motorbike twice before the situation escalated into a fight. The same sources claimed Taylor “initiated and instigated” the confrontation.

Taylor told the Daily Mail that he did not know Ritchson’s identity at the time of the incident and only realized who he was afterward. When asked whether he initiated the fight, Taylor declined to provide further details.
“I can’t answer questions about that right now, there’s an active investigation,” he said.
Authorities have since closed the case without filing charges, citing self-defense as the determining factor based on the evidence reviewed.
