Kimberly Mathers, the ex-wife of rapper Eminem, pleaded no contest on Monday to driving under the influence and fleeing the scene after allegedly crashing her car while her son and his friends were passengers, as reported by The New York Post.
The 51-year-old from Chesterfield Township, Michigan, was arrested following a February incident in which she reportedly crashed her Range Rover into a parked Dodge Ram truck, according to TMZ.
Mathers was accompanied by her son, Parker, and three of his friends at the time, and police said the crash sent the parked truck flying 50 feet down the street, the Macomb Daily News reported.

After the collision, authorities said Mathers did not stop to investigate or report the crash. Instead, she allegedly drove home and collided with her own garage door when she pulled into her driveway, neighbors told TMZ.

Prosecutors said Mathers pleaded no contest to two charges: driving under the influence and failure to report an accident. She was arraigned in court earlier this week.
Macomb County Prosecutor Pete Lucido issued a firm statement following the plea, underscoring the seriousness of the offense.
“Driving under the influence is not a lapse in judgment—it is a deliberate decision that puts every person on the road at risk,” Lucido said.

He continued, “We see the consequences far too often: lives lost, families shattered, and communities changed forever.”
Mathers’ sentencing is scheduled for June 17 in Macomb County District Court, where she will learn the consequences of the charges.

The incident drew further public attention because Mathers shares a complicated history with Eminem, whose real name is Marshall Mathers, though the article noted that her son Parker is from another relationship following their split.
The February crash marked another difficult chapter for Mathers, whose struggles have occasionally surfaced in public throughout her life.
Court filings indicate that she will appear again before the judge next month to determine the official outcome of the case.
As of now, no further details about damage costs, injuries, or potential penalties have been released by authorities.
