Controversial kids YouTuber Ms. Rachel gave $3,000 to the campaign of far-left Michigan Senate hopeful Abdul El Sayed, according to Federal Election Commission filings, as reported by The New York Post.

The filing, dated July 19, listed the payout from Rachel Griffin Accurso, who is better known online as Ms. Rachel.

It was not clear from the filing whether the money was a donation or a loan.

The move marks her latest effort to support candidates described in the source article as anti-Israel radicals. Accurso has become a prominent children’s content creator while also drawing criticism for her political activity.

El Sayed has made sharp comments about Israel, including calling the Israeli government a “rogue state” guilty of “genocide.” Those remarks have put his campaign at the center of criticism from opponents.

He also campaigned with left-wing influencer Hasan Piker. Piker has claimed Orthodox Jews are “inbred” and that “America deserved 9/11.”

Critics said Accurso’s support for the Bernie Sanders-backed candidate is troubling because of her large youth audience. Her public profile as a children’s entertainer has made her political giving a focus of scrutiny.

“Abdul El-Sayed and Ms. Rachel are one and the same, forcing their socialist, they/them, anti-America agenda on our children, and parents should be worried when they head to the ballot box,” said Samantha Cantrell, a spokeswoman for the National Republican Senatorial Committee.

The criticism also came from Sheila Nazarian, a plastic surgeon, Iranian refugee and star of Netflix’s “Skin Decision.” Nazarian questioned why Accurso would support El Sayed given the rhetoric surrounding his campaign.

“Ms. Rachel’s decision to support Abdul El-Sayed is deeply disappointing, and it raises the question of why someone who built a brand around kindness would lend credibility to antisemitic and hateful rhetoric,” Nazarian said.

Accurso has also been a staunch critic of Israel. She has accused the Jewish state of “genocide” and of deliberately slaughtering thousands of children in Gaza.

The article described Accurso as a social media star and a modern-day “Mister Rogers.”

It also noted that “Miss Rachel” has more than 20 million followers on YouTube and 5 million followers on Instagram.

Her political giving has not been limited to the Michigan Senate race. She previously donated $3,500 to a group of lefty candidates backed by NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani.

Those candidates ousted establishment Democrats in party primaries that leaders admitted were fueled by anti-Israel furor. The contests took place ahead of the June 23 primaries.

Accurso made donations to House candidates Darializa Avila Chevalier and Brad Lander before those primaries. The article identified both candidates as part of that Mamdani-backed slate.

Her husband, Aron Accurso, also made a political contribution. Aron Accurso, who is a Broadway and “Songs for Littles” music director, donated $1,500 to Chevalier.

The new filing adds another campaign finance entry to the political activity surrounding Accurso.

At the same time, critics continue to frame her support for El Sayed as especially concerning because of her massive audience among children and families.
