Former Democratic National Committee fundraiser Lindy Li is warning that major donors have little interest in financing another Kamala Harris presidential campaign.

Her message is blunt: contributors remember how their money was spent, and they are not eager to fund another political face plant, as reported by Fox News.

Li delivered the warning Saturday during an appearance on "My View with Lara Trump."

She described a Democratic Party burdened by debt, fractured by ideological warfare, and staring at a weak collection of possible presidential candidates for 2028.

According to Li, wealthy political contributors do not simply hand over millions for sentimental reasons or party loyalty. They view each contribution as a "business proposition," meaning candidates and organizations must demonstrate competence, discipline, and some reasonable chance of delivering results.

That standard creates a serious problem for Harris, whose campaign operation burned through an enormous mountain of cash before losing the 2024 election.

Li argued that Democratic leaders have refused to honestly examine that failure, apparently preferring excuses to accountability.

"There's been no accountability. The autopsy that they sent out was basically a sham, and they couldn't even stand behind it."

"They didn't even mention the fact that Kamala Harris is a terrible candidate," she said.

Li said Harris appears disconnected from the reality facing Democrats and from the anger still simmering among major contributors.

Those donors watched a lavish campaign spend freely while struggling to present Harris as a convincing national leader.

"Kamala Harris is living in fantasyland… [thinking] that big donors would bet on her again," she added. "She should just go away because the American people do not want her agenda."

The scale of the spending helps explain why donors are not lining up for another ride on the Kamala campaign carousel.

Li noted that roughly $2.5 billion was spent by the Harris campaign operation and Future Forward, the super PAC supporting her candidacy.

Federal filings show that Harris’ principal campaign committee reported approximately $1.18 billion in disbursements during the 2023 and 2024 election cycle.

That is a staggering financial footprint for a campaign that still failed to win the White House.

Li also connected the Democratic Party’s financial troubles to its increasingly aggressive embrace of progressive socialism.

In her account, contributors are not merely disappointed by campaign management; they are alarmed by a party sprinting toward policies rejected by broad sections of the country.

"This is why donors like me left the party in droves. And this is why they are so… broke."

"They literally had to put up their own headquarters… as collateral. They can't even get a text back from donors."

"So I don't want to hear anything about a big tent. You should not be normalizing socialism like this," she said.

That criticism reaches beyond Harris and directly into the Democratic leadership on Capitol Hill.

Li accused party bosses of surrendering to pressure from the socialist left while pretending the result represents some welcoming and diverse political coalition.

She specifically targeted Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer and his description of Democrats as a "big tent party."

Li argued that Schumer is worried Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez could challenge him in a primary if he refuses to keep moving left.

In that environment, establishment Democrats are not leading their party so much as nervously following its loudest activists.

The resulting contest seems to be about who can appease the left first, regardless of what voters or nervous donors think.

"He's trying to race her to the bottom. It's just ridiculous," she said.

"And Americans already rejected it in 2024," Li said.

Her warning leaves Democrats with an uncomfortable choice: continue normalizing socialism and watch contributors disappear, or admit that Harris and the party’s progressive agenda produced a costly political disaster.
