Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. delivered a string of major revelations during a town hall with Kayleigh McEnany on Saturday in America.

His remarks highlighted early victories for the Make America Healthy Again initiative while exposing more costly dysfunction left behind by President Joe Biden.

Kennedy said the nation is finally seeing movement against an obesity epidemic that has burdened American families and the health care system for decades.

According to Kennedy, obesity rates declined for the first time in 40 years, falling three percent during the past year.

That development represents more than a favorable statistic for the Trump administration.

It suggests that policies focused on access, affordability, and measurable results may be accomplishing what years of Washington lectures and bloated federal programs failed to deliver.

Kennedy credited part of the decline to lower prices for GLP 1 medications secured by the Trump administration.

Those savings were made available through TrumpRx, the popular platform designed to give Americans better access to medicine without the usual swampy layers of bureaucracy.

The administration has paired its health agenda with an aggressive effort to identify fraud across the health care industry.

Kennedy described a system in which government money continued flowing toward organizations that appeared to provide little or nothing resembling legitimate medical care.

One of his most startling disclosures involved hospice centers in California.

Kennedy said the administration has moved to close “thousands” of government funded hospice centers that were operating without patients, a revelation that raises obvious questions about where the money went and who benefited.

Hospice care is supposed to serve patients and families during some of the most difficult moments of their lives.

A facility with no patients is not compassionate care, it is a flashing warning sign that demands scrutiny, accountability, and possibly much more.

Kennedy also pointed to medical instrument companies that did not produce medical instruments.

Apparently, under the old Washington arrangement, even producing the product named in the company description could be treated as an optional detail while government funds kept moving.

These findings fit the familiar pattern of federal spending under Biden, where oversight often seemed missing until the bill arrived.

The Trump administration is now directing resources toward closing those gaps and stopping operations that allegedly existed mainly to collect public money.

Kennedy also addressed the dramatic growth of transgender surgery centers during the Biden administration.

He argued that the issue became intensely politicized while investors made billions of dollars from an industry supported by scientific claims that he said had been falsified.

The health secretary cited a European study that found transitioning produced minimal benefit while significantly increasing the likelihood of suicidal ideation.

That finding cuts directly against years of activist messaging that treated serious medical questions as settled doctrine and punished anyone who dared ask for evidence.

For conservatives, the point is not complicated.

Children, parents, and vulnerable patients deserve honest science, informed consent, and medical standards rooted in evidence, not ideological pressure campaigns designed to enrich investors and please progressive interest groups.

Kennedy's partnership with President Donald Trump has become one of the administration's most visible domestic policy efforts.

Make America Healthy Again combines a focus on chronic illness with a broader challenge to entrenched interests that have profited while Americans became sicker and federal spending climbed.

The reported decline in obesity, combined with lower prescription costs and a widening fraud crackdown, gives the administration a strong record to promote.

It also offers a sharp contrast with the Biden years, when radical social policy and loose federal oversight repeatedly displaced common sense.

These accomplishments are likely to receive prominent attention as Trump and Republican candidates prepare for the midterm campaign.

Voters may soon be asked whether they prefer measurable health improvements and tighter accountability, or another helping of expensive progressive experiments served with bureaucratic excuses.
