Glenn Beck says the Democratic Party is moving increasingly toward Marxist and globalist ideas, pointing to the Democratic Socialists of America’s 2026 platform and a series of recent statements from Democratic politicians as evidence of a broader ideological shift.
Beck said he has warned for years that Marxist and Islamist movements were gaining influence inside Democratic politics and argued that those ideas are now being stated openly rather than denied.
"I have been telling you for years, for years, Marxists and Islamists are working their way into the Democratic Party, and for years they denied it. What's amazing is they don't deny it anymore. In fact, they've printed it."
Beck highlighted the Democratic Socialists of America’s 2026 platform, which he said proposes major structural changes to the federal government.

"This summer, the Democratic Socialists of America released their 2026 platform. Not a rumor, not a leak, not a conspiracy. Their own document and published it online. You can go see it."
According to Beck, the proposals include abolishing the Senate and Electoral College while restructuring both the presidency and Supreme Court.
"What are they asking for? To abolish the Senate, Democrats. Is that you? Is that really? Is that you? Fold Congress into one bigger chamber and abolish the Electoral College, replace the president and the Supreme Court with an executive and judiciary chosen by and subordinate to Congress. Their stated goal is a new Constitution. Democrats, is that what you want?"
Beck rejected the argument that such ideas should be dismissed as fringe positions, contending that socialist candidates and organizations have gained enough political influence that their proposals deserve scrutiny.

"You're going to run out of excuses, and I hope you run out of them fairly soon because they're gaining more and more power while you're making excuses."
He also described a system in which eliminating the Senate and placing the executive and judiciary under congressional authority would dramatically concentrate political power.
"One room, no Senate to say hold on, no president to veto, no court that answers to anyone but the room. Whoever wins the room wins everything, including the power to pick judges who are supposed to judge the room."
Beck then turned to Democratic calls for future accountability involving businesses, universities, law firms and other institutions that worked with the Trump administration.
He referenced statements from Rep. Eric Swalwell, Sen. Elissa Slotkin, Susan Rice and House Democratic leadership while drawing a distinction between prosecuting actual crimes and retaliating against organizations for working with an elected government.
"So if somebody committed a crime, I want you to prosecute it. If anyone in the Trump administration actually committed a crime, I want it punished. I want the elected people to be held accountable. But punishing a company for working with an elected government is not accountability."
Beck said such threats could create political pressure on private institutions.
"It's a note to every business in America. Next time, you better pick the right side. It's a fear tactic. It's what Marxists do."
He also discussed activists he said are proposing a national council involving former governors, former military officers and organizers, along with efforts to influence people with military connections and blue-state governors.
Beck described that arrangement as a coordinated political strategy operating at several levels.
"Politicians at the top, radicals at the bottom, people inside with the uniform, top down, bottom up, inside out."
Another part of Beck’s argument centered on artificial intelligence and energy policy.
He cited Bernie Sanders and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez as supporters of a national moratorium on AI data centers and said concerns about electricity costs and noise deserve attention. However, he argued that those concerns should be addressed by requiring data centers to provide their own power and cover their costs rather than stopping development.
"But the answer to a real complaint is to make them bring their own power and pay their own way, not stop building while China keeps pouring concrete."
Beck framed that debate as part of a larger choice between continued American economic and technological expansion and what he described as a "degrowth" philosophy.
"One vision says the American economy should grow and lead for another century. That is the conservative vision. The other, degrowth. The West had its turn. Should manage its own decline, degrowth, stop making more energy, stop all progress on any technology."
Despite his criticism, Beck said he was not arguing that every Democrat shared the same ideology or that every Republican deserved support.
"Even if you say the Republicans, I mean, look, not every Republican is a good guy, not every Democrat is a bad guy, and there are millions of Democrats that I think love this country, and it's unfair to paint a party on either side with one brush. A lot of good people."
His broader argument, however, was that the two parties are moving in increasingly different directions on government power, economic growth, and national sovereignty.
"But the Democratic Party has a direction. One is moving fast towards Marxism and globalism, and the other one isn't."
Every time I rang the alarm bells on the DSA, Democrats would respond with, "Oh, they're fringe. They don't represent the party."
Well, THEY DO NOW. Mainstream Democrats are actively backing their agenda. When Eric Swalwell goes on television promising "accountability" for private businesses, law firms, and universities that cooperated with the opposition, he’s issuing a direct warning: Comply with us, or face the consequences. And if you think this will stop at universities or corporate boardrooms, it won’t. This never stops at the top. It eventually comes for you. Look, our Republic isn't perfect, and we have a mountain of work to do. But if you want to preserve the Constitution and save this country, you can't sit out these midterms. You have to vote, and the choice has never been clearer. — Glenn Beck (@glennbeck) October 27, 2026
