Minneapolis Democratic Mayor Jacob Frey was booed out of a protest on Saturday after he refused to say he would defund the city’s police department.

A massive crowd shouted at him, “Go home Jacob, go home,” while others booed and changed, “Shame, shame, shame.”

The mayor walked away slowly as a protester gave him the middle finger; another threw an object at him.

Another video showed Frey being interrogated by protesters about whether he would abolish the police. He said he has “been coming to grips with my own brokenness in this situation” and said he would try to fix “a systemic racist system.”

When asked to answer “yes or no” as to whether he would defund the police, the mayor answered,”I do not support the full abolition of the Minneapolis Police Department.”

The protest leader yelled at him, “Alright, then get the f— out of here. Go.”
