President Donald Trump and UFC CEO Dana White made a striking arrival on the South Lawn of the White House on Sunday ahead of UFC Freedom 250, a historic event marking the first professional sporting competition held at the presidential residence, as reported by Trending Politics News.
The occasion coincided with both Flag Day and the president’s 80th birthday, heightening its symbolic significance and celebratory tone.
Trump and White began their entrance from the Oval Office, walking through the White House before stepping into a custom-built arena on the lawn. The temporary venue featured a full-size Octagon and seating for 4,000 spectators.

As they approached the cage-side area, the presentation of the colors took place, accompanied by the U.S. Marine Band’s rendition of “Hail To The Chief.”

The patriotic display set the stage for the night’s main pre-fight attraction: a soaring performance of the U.S. National Anthem by country music star Zac Brown.
Brown, frontman of the Grammy-winning Zac Brown Band, performed “The Star-Spangled Banner” alongside the United States Marine Band and the combined Armed Forces Chorus.
Spotlighting American unity, Brown’s performance came before an audience largely composed of U.S. service members filling the stands around the Octagon.
Speaking about the event on The Pat McAfee Show, Brown described the experience as one of deep personal meaning.

“Man, I’m there for the troops, man. I’m there to honor America. This is patriotism, not politics for me. F*** all the division. I don’t believe in that. I love this country."
As the final notes of “Home of the Brave” echoed across the South Lawn, the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds and U.S. Navy Blue Angels executed a dramatic joint flyover, capping the anthem with roaring precision.
Joint appearances by the Thunderbirds and Blue Angels are rare due to their separate service branches and demanding performance schedules.
Coordinating both teams for a shared demonstration requires extensive planning and is typically reserved for exceptional occasions.
Sunday’s flyover added an unmistakable sense of spectacle as jets streaked across the Washington skyline in perfect formation above the White House grounds.
Meanwhile, the UFC setup radiated energy with red, white, and blue staging, massive video screens, and an overhead lighting rig dubbed “The Claw.”
The event’s audience was composed almost entirely of active-duty military personnel, reflecting the night’s overarching dedication to service and national pride.
UFC Freedom 250, featuring seven bouts, is airing exclusively on Paramount+.
