A Florida substitute teacher was fired and arrested after authorities said she acted erratically inside a high school classroom, allegedly making explicit remarks, engaging in inappropriate behavior, and physically confronting a student, as reported by The New York Post.
Angela Faith Jourdan was taken into custody on Monday following an incident at Lake Minneola High School in Minneola, Florida. According to school district officials, her employment was terminated the same day.

“Good afternoon. We are aware of the arrest. Parents have been notified. The substitute teacher was hired 2/4/2025, and employment was terminated today,” the district said in a statement to News 6.
The Lake County Sheriff’s Office said Jourdan made explicit comments toward students, including statements about engaging in sexual activity and referring to herself as a “million dollar prostitute.”

Deputies also reported that Jourdan was “twerking” in the classroom while yelling and slamming her hands on a desk before law enforcement arrived.

According to a case report, a student told investigators she was confronted by Jourdan as class was ending.
“As the bell rang and students began exiting, [REDACTED] stated she was among the last to leave when Ms. Jourdan yelled at her, called her a derogatory name, and placed her hands on [REDACTED] head and the back of her neck before moving her hand toward [REDACTED] throat,” the report states.
A school resource deputy responded to the classroom disturbance around 10:20 a.m. and found Jourdan “yelling incoherently,” according to the report.

“Assistant Principal Pannett entered and instructed Ms. Jourdan to gather her belongings and leave the classroom,” the report reads. “Ms. Jourdan refused, stating that she did not want to be (Tasered).”
Authorities said Jourdan continued to refuse to leave, prompting a deputy to restrain her and escort her to the front office. Body camera footage obtained by News 6 shows her arguing with deputies during the removal.
“I am not a threat, and I will not be killed,” Jourdan said in the footage. “I already got tased by the police in Pine Hills, and I double-dare you.”
“You thought that was a weapon, right? Then you’re gonna say I was a threat,” she added.
Deputies then handcuffed Jourdan and removed her from the building.

The report notes that Jourdan has a history of bipolar disorder and that her behavior appeared consistent with a possible “mental health episode.”
She is facing misdemeanor charges of disorderly conduct, simple battery, and two counts of disruption of a school function.
Lake County School Board Chair Bill Mathias said he was informed of the situation shortly after it occurred and commented on how students responded.
“That was very moving to me,” Mathias said, adding that students appeared to react with sensitivity, believing it may have been a mental health situation.
Authorities have not released additional details about the case. The investigation remains ongoing.
