A humanoid robot chasing a group of wild boars through an empty parking lot has drawn widespread attention online, as footage of the unusual encounter circulated across social media platforms, as reported by The New York Post.

The video, which has garnered more than 3.8 million views on X, shows an AI-powered humanoid robot pursuing several wild pigs as they scatter across a paved area. A caption accompanying the clip reads, “I’m herding the wild boars into the forest.”

The robot featured in the video is a Unitree G1 humanoid machine produced by a Chinese robotics company. The robot, identified as Edward Warchocki, is known for its public appearances and online presence.

In the footage, the robot runs after the animals but is unable to catch them. As the boars move away, the robot raises its fist in a gesture that viewers compared to scenes from the 2024 animated film “The Wild Robot.”

Wild boars have become a growing concern in parts of Warsaw, with reports indicating the animals have entered residential areas. Local authorities have previously taken steps to address the issue, including culling efforts.

Despite initial reactions suggesting the robot was being deployed to manage wildlife, reports indicate the scene was staged as part of a promotional effort.

Edward Warchocki has gained attention in Poland for a range of appearances, including singing performances, participation in public events, and visits to government buildings.

Online responses to the video highlighted the unusual nature of the footage. One user described the robot as “the hero we don’t deserve,” while another commented, “Finally, some sensible application of robotics ;P.”

The video also drew comparisons to a similar humanoid robot in the United States.

Another Unitree G1 model, known online as “Jake the Rizzbot,” has attracted attention for various viral moments, including interacting with internet personalities and performing scripted routines.

That robot has also been involved in public incidents. Streamer Darren Jason Watkins Jr., known as IShowSpeed, was involved in an altercation with the machine, and its developer later filed a lawsuit seeking $1 million in damages.

Beyond viral content, some Unitree robots have been involved in operational issues.

In recent months, reports have described incidents in China where a robot kicked a handler during operation, and another struck a child during a demonstration.

Experts have noted that such events highlight the importance of safety considerations as humanoid robotics technology becomes more widely used in public settings and across industries.

The viral video from Warsaw continues to circulate online, drawing attention to both the capabilities and limitations of current humanoid robotics systems.
